Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Follow-Through ("the Service"), a product of Scalatic Digital. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Follow-Through is generally available. Features, pricing, and policies may evolve as the product matures.

1What Follow-Through Does

Follow-Through connects to your email account (currently Gmail via Google OAuth) and uses AI to automatically detect commitments you have made ("I'll send that over by Friday") and questions directed at you ("Can you review this?"). These are surfaced in a dashboard and optionally delivered as a digest email so you can track and resolve outstanding items.

The Service is intended for professional productivity use by individuals. It is not a legal record-keeping system and should not be relied upon as a legally binding log of obligations.

2Eligibility & Account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service.
• Access is self-serve. Creating an account does not waive the other eligibility requirements in this section.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not share your account or allow others to access the Service through your credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

3Gmail & Email Integration

To use Follow-Through, you will connect your Gmail account via Google OAuth. By doing so, you grant Follow-Through read-only access to your emails (gmail.readonly scope). You acknowledge and agree that:

• Follow-Through will read your email messages to detect commitments and questions. This is the core function of the Service.
• Email content is transmitted to our AI processing engine (OpenAI GPT-4o) for analysis. Raw email content is not permanently stored — only the extracted commitment/question text and metadata are saved.
• You represent that you have the right to grant this access and that doing so does not violate any agreements with your employer, email provider, or applicable law.
• You may disconnect your Gmail account at any time from Settings → Integrations. This immediately revokes Follow-Through's access.
• Follow-Through will never send, delete, or modify emails on your behalf.

4Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to circumvent subscription limits, access controls, or rate limits.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to process emails belonging to individuals who have not consented to such processing.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure, servers, or networks.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Use automated scripts to interact with the Service outside of any officially supported API.

5Subscriptions & Billing

Plans

Follow-Through offers a free Trial period followed by paid subscription plans. Current plans:

Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
• Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment details.
• Prices are in USD and subject to change. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing prices for existing subscribers.

Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access through the period end.
• We reserve the right to issue refunds at our discretion for exceptional circumstances — contact support@scalatic.com.

6AI Processing & Accuracy

Follow-Through uses AI (GPT-4o via OpenAI) to detect commitments and questions in your emails. You acknowledge that:

• AI detection is not perfect. The Service may produce false positives (flagging something that is not a commitment) or false negatives (missing a genuine commitment).
• You are responsible for reviewing and acting on detected items. Follow-Through is a productivity aid, not a guarantee of task completion.
• Do not rely on Follow-Through as the sole system of record for critical obligations, deadlines, or legal commitments.
• The Service's AI models and detection logic may change over time as we improve accuracy.

7Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Service — including the software, design, logo, and follow-through detection algorithms — is owned by Scalatic Digital. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own personal professional productivity.

Your email content and the extracted follow-throughs derived from it remain your data. We do not claim ownership over content originating from your emails.

8Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time:

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days (see Privacy Policy for exceptions).
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we determine (at our sole discretion) that continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users.
• We will endeavor to give reasonable notice before termination except where immediate action is required for security or legal reasons.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 7, 10, and 11 survive termination.

10Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Scalatic Digital does not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate in its AI detections.
• Any specific email scanning frequency, digest schedule, or uptime level is guaranteed.
• The Service is fit for any particular purpose beyond general professional productivity use.

As an early-access product, the Service may undergo significant changes, experience downtime, or in rare cases lose data. We recommend not treating Follow-Through as your only record of critical commitments.

11Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scalatic Digital's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

In no event shall Scalatic Digital be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or missed obligations — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

12Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration or the courts of the jurisdiction in which Scalatic Digital operates.
